My pyramid of success contains mostly values and morals that I have developed and have put emphasis on growing up. The foundation of my pyramid of success would be my faith. I truly believe that nothing can happen unless God allows it. Therefore, it doesn't matter what the rest of my pyramid includes because if I don't have God, none of it would exist. The mortar of my pyramid would then include the values and morals I was taught and learned as I got older. The main principles would be honesty/trustworthiness, loyalty, unselfishness, strong mindedness and drive/motivation. I start with honesty because the same way my faith has a chain reaction with the rest of the pyramid, honesty and trustworthiness are the basis of all other values. Loyalty and unselfishness are important to me because another thing I've learned is that success does not occur in solitude. I need support around me and just like others can be selfish by not giving their time or help, I can also be selfish by not accepting any help from others. Strong mindedness and drive/motivation can intertwine because one who is motivated and driven, must be mentally tough through uncontrollable adversity. These values are included in my pyramid because it's something that you can't teach but the most successful people have it. The apex of my pyramid would then include all the things that can be taught/developed or earned because they are of the least importance to me compared to the rest of my pyramid. These would include, skill and/or talents and money. I only say money because of the business saying "you have to spend money to make money" and although wealth doesn't equal happiness, it would be beneficial to have money from a business standpoint. My skills and talents are in my apex and not in my mortar because in my opinion, I'd much rather have someone who has less talent but is an arduous hard-worker than someone who has more talent with a poor work ethic.
