I think that trust is one of the most important aspects of your team dynamic. Without trust, each person plays as an individual rather than working as a team to perform as well as possible. Each person must know that not only are they going to work as hard as they can for their teammates, but also their teammates are going to do the same for them. I think the most important way to build trust among teammates is to be reliable. If teammates are able to count on each other for any situation they may face, they will also develop the trust that is crucial to building a strong team. Teammates must also be completely honest and open with each other at all times. Honesty seems like a given, but circumstances often arise where being honest with the team becomes very difficult. Nonetheless, even brutal honesty will build more trust on a team that lying or sugar coating the truth to avoid stepping on someone's toes. A strong work ethic also helps develop trust among teammates. If team members see someone working to the absolute best of their abilities, the members will see that the person is willing to give their all for the good of the team. This reassures other people and helps build trust in that person. If everyone does the same, each member knows they can trust everyone, unifying the team into one cohesive entity.
